i run boot camp often but every time i go back the mac os x side i always see the mac HD then under the windows xp partition HD it just says 'Untitled' and it wont let me change it.

also, if ive downloaded customized icons for things like hard drive network etc. how do i apply them?

Candybar is the easiest way to change icons. For free, press :apple: +i on the new icon file, and :apple: +i on the thing you want to change, copy the icon at the top from the new file, and paste it to that area in the old one :)

The second option won't work if he can't write changes to the disk since custom icon data is stored as a file inside folder/disk.

you mean the hard drive label ?

if yes, then in windows go to the MS-dos black screen, then press label and then it'll prompt you to write a label; you write what you want then press enter then press exist and that's that.

if you didn't mean that, then I don't know and sorry for wasting your time.

hope this helps
