How do I change or hide my username?

So, I use this username on other social media sites and now I realize this is a mistake, as people can now just look up my username on Google and see what I have posted on other Websites.

For this reason, I'd like to either change my MacRumors username, hide it behind a pseudonym, or outright delete the account and any post, reply, etc. associated with it.

What are my options and how do I execute them?
