Hello everybody, I would like to know how can I change sounds on the Macbook Pro, running latest OS Yosemite, for example notification sounds and stuff like that? Thank You.

Sure it works, unless something is wrong with your system. What are you expecting it to do?

What exactly are you expecting it to do? This setting is for the system alert sound and has been in OS X since version 1. None of the other system sounds can be changed through System Preferences with the exception of turning them on or off.
As mentioned, scroll down.
That sound can't be changed through System Preferences. It can be disabled through System Preferences > Notifications.

I dont recall OS X ever using the sound "Basso" for notifications. Maybe it did in Mountain Lion, but it uses the iOS sound now.
The OP can still try this, but I doubt it will work.
