I've got an mpeg movie clip I want to edit, well....cut most of it off....

I just want to keep the first 30 seconds or so.

What do I use to do this? (CAN I do this??)

I had the half baked idea of trying to use IDVD but it wasn't happening. It said "unsupported file type, mpg movie" or something....

Anything I can to...?

I've used QT Pro to chop sound files (got some great samples) ripped from movies, I imagine it will also work for Video. You can always change the file format with FFMPEGX, then import to iMovie..

Thing is, I don't have QT pro, and for the amount of use I'll get from it, I don't really want to pay...

I was hoping somebody might know of a little rough & ready download fron Versiontracker or somewhere....

I just mean I want to cut off all of the clip apart from the first 30 seconds or so...

Downloading that now, is it easy to use?

I'm a bit of a computer doofus....
