I don't know exactly how these circumstances existed, but I moved "Documents and Settings" to the trash, from my windows partition. I later reformatted it, but "Documents and Settings" is still in the trash and won't go away. How do I remove it from the trash?

I don't want to delete it, and using the rm command I think would delete my real documents and settings folder... which is bad..

how can I get this trash back to a clean slate?

I think the OP is talking about windows...

So Documents and Settings is in the trash on your Windows partition?

If thats the case, just right click on it in the Recycle Bin and choose Restore.

If its in the trash on your OS X partition, just drag the file out to where it originally was.

Finder->Empty Trash.

TEG

You'd think I'd try this after 5 months >.<

I just realized, I did "get Info", and it turns out that this was actually on a different hard drive. I dragged it back, and it works like magic. Thanks!
