How do I clear previous entries for Maps?

My iphone is holding onto previous entries that I have searched for in Maps. How do I get rid of them? Thanks.

in the Maps app, Click on Search at the bottom, then click on the blue bookmark button to the right of the search field. You will then see Recent at the bottom. click there and then click Clear
