im new here and with my ibook. my wireless works like a champ! but for the life of me i cant get it to connect to the net with my ethernet cables, usb network cable, not even phone line. it said something about needing a phone number??????? im friggin lost. if someone has some help for me it would be greatly appreiceated.

i dont know what this means, but i clicked about this mac. and heres what i got: mac OS X Processor:500 MHz PowerPC with 256 mb sdram
i got it real cheap if this is bad.

Can we have some more specific details about your setup, including model of iBook, and OS X version. I can say right off that you'll need much more RAM then 256. Once we know more about your Mac, we can offer further advice.

In the meantime, the only reason a phone number would be required is if you're using dialup. Your ethernet wired connection will need some fiddling with the network settings I suspect.
