How do I continue an iCloud backup restore

hi. Got a new iPhone and I restored from back up on my phone. But it seems to have stopped so I hit stop restore. How do I start over and restore from my back up? Do I have to erase all settings on phone and start as new.

If it is getting stuck on the iCloud restore why not back up your original device to iTunes and then restore your new device. I use the cloud for everyday backups but also back up in iTunes once a month or so. Your restore via iTunes will be very quick and complete.

The old phone was already sold. I think having to leave the wifi signal mid back up ruined it.

No doubt it could have been the problem. Try rebooting and starting again.

In the future a iTunes backup before you let go of your own phone might be best. Hope you get it worked out.
