How do I convert a protected file in iTunes?

Hello,

I want to add a song to the podcast I'm creating in Garageband but in order to do that the song has to be converted to AIFF. When I try to do this iTunes says protected files cannont be converted to other formats. So, I was wondering if there is a way I can get around this or are there any places where I can download the song without it being copy protected.

Burning tracks to CD removes the DRM. I thought you could import protected tracks into Grarageband but obviously not.
