Hi

I'd like to know how best to convert short video clips taken with my Point'n'Shoot camera to the iPod Touch format. Can you help?

I've only just got my Ipod Touch 2G (32GB) and I've been experimenting with this issue.

I've been trying out the Alive iPhone Video Converter. It seems ok but the main problem I have is how to retain the original shot date in the metadata. I reckon I need this to create a Smart Playlist and sort the 500 video clips I have into some sort of chronological order.

Do any of the converters around retain this info?

How do you organize your Point'n'Shoot videos?

Hope you can help.

Regards

John

Does it retain the 'when shot' data after conversion?

I think that's important for me to organise the video clips using Smart Playlists.

you can choose a two pass encode where it will first analyse the video to get the best quality, you can also tweak the encode profiles or create new ones
