Hi,

I have a limited user account set up on my Macbook with no password to act as a honey pot if it ever gets stolen. Prey runs in the background.

I added in a password when I was playing around, but how do I remove it now? The change password option when I am logged in as Admin allows me to do just that, change it to another password but not erase it. The error message is 'The password is empty'.

Any ideas?

Thanks.

Now you have discovered that if you add a password when the password was previously blank (no password), you can't go back to a blank password - the system won't let you do that.

The only opportunity that you have for a blank password (no password) is when the account is created.
(someone may correct me if I am wrong about that :D )
So, you can make another new limited account, and leave the password blank on that new account.

Darn. Okay, thanks. I guess I will have to delete and redo it.
