It's my better half's 40th birthday soon and I've booked our special hotel online, but I want it to remain a surprise. I don't want here to chance upon the site while she's on the internet, cos she'll twig really quick. How do I get rid of an individual url in Firefox and Safari ??
Cheers

Highlight it and hit "Delete" in Safari. Shift-click between multiple URLs to delete all of them in between.

Alternately, you could do a History search for the site's URL and then delete everything that comes up.

Could you just clear all the history? Next time I'd suggest using the "Private Browsing" feature of Safari. To delete one entry, you may have to do it manually. Sorry.

Cool that's Safari sorted where most of the research was done, any idea for Firefox ? I know it's a simple shift delete on a PC, but on a Mac any ideas?

I worked it out myself for Firefox.
Go to History tab, hit show in sidebar, highlight website then edit delete.
Cheers everyone
