So, I made the mistake of purchasing THINGS for my Mac and realized it was over priced and asked for a refund. Apple gave me a refund. However, THINGS still shows up in my apps to be updated and I don't know how to get rid of it or if that is even possible.

Solutions?

Remove that purchase from your "Purchased" list:
Open the App Store, Store menu, click on View My Account. You should get a login window to, well, log in to your account. Mouse-over your returned app. click on the icon with 3 dots (you will see that when you mouse over your app. Click on "Hide Purchase", and it's out of your sight. You still have that as a purchase, because you did purchase the app. I am pretty sure that hiding the purchase will mean that updates won't be offered.
If you STILL are offered updates, even after hiding the app, then your next step is to get assistance from AppleID support.
