I need to call over to the UK from my cell phone in the US. The number is 020 XXXX XXXX. So I dial +44 020 XXXX XXXX on my phone, right? Just want to make sure I get it right so I don't waste international long distance charges by dialing the wrong number

BTW, before someone tells me to use Skype or a calling card since they're a lot cheaper, this is a one-time deal and shouldn't be more than a 5 or 10 minute phone call, so I'll just suck up the long distance rather than bother with the other stuff ;)

Jeez you guys are quick, thanks! :D

What's the leading zero there for if you don't dial it? My cell number is 314-XXX-XXXX but I don't write it as 0314-XXX-XXXX ;)

Since no one else is going to oblige… ;)

020 is the local UK area code.

Edit: 020 is a local UK area code.
