How do I discard an old IMovie?

I am using IMovie HD 6.0.3. Every time I open IMovie it loads the one I have already completed. I have tried looking at any help information but can not find what I am looking for.

iMovieHD will open the the project that was opened last, as long as it can find it (i.e. as in you haven't moved it).

If you close the "old" project and open/create a new one, the next time you open iMovie, this "new" project will be opened automatically.
