Hey guys. I'm writing a perl script to help organize my music collection. In each album folder, I'm thinking about having the songs in lossless (Apple Lossless) and lossy (AAC) formats. My question is how (preferably through perl) can I tell which format an audio file is. Both of them use the .m4a extension.

Read the bit rate info of music to distinguish between files.

(In iTunes you can do a smart playlist.)
