How do I downgrade back to 10.5.7?

The 10.5.8 update ruined my Internet connection as I described in the thread below.

Sorry I'm a newbie, so easy steps would be helpful.

They only choices you have are:

1. back up your files, reinstall the OS back to 10.5.7 or earlier, move your files back.

2. Restore from an earlier Time Machine back up (You will most likely still need to back up your files)

I see... So on option #1, do you just mean personal files or all program files? What exactly?

How do I reinstall 10.5.7? Unfortunately I don't have Internet access on my MacBook (typing from iPhone).
