Hi board members - I want to download eD2K files.

I am using the current version of Safari but when I click on the link for the file I want to download I get a message saying Safari can't download eD2K files.

I would have thought it would automatically open Miro.app as it would with any other torrent.

or, maybe my knowledge is lacking and I need to use another application.

Can any of you people help me with this please?

Cheers, Mal

quick google search tells me that the file is actually an executable file which would require Windows to work. the information you need though may be in the file if you try and open it with TextEdit you may have some luck.

Thank you #fletch33 - good job I have kept my Dell Notebook then - I'll get that out of storage and download these files using Windows.

I'll get back to you tomorrow and report my progress. (now why didn't I think to google eD2K files)

Cheers, Mal

No sir! It's an eMule file (eD2K=eDonkey). Mac has applications to open this kind of file alright.

Thank you matrix07- so there is a Mac app for these files. I'll download Acqlite 0.4.1 and give that a go.

Thank you again and to fletch33

All the best, Mal
