How do I edit a post that I started? Is it a permissions thing because I'm a "newbie?"
 
On the bottom right of your post you'll see an edit button. Click on that button and you'll be able to edit your post.

Yes. Members with less than 500 posts aren't allowed to edit posts older than 30 days.

Which post do you want to edit and what do you want it to say? I can do it for you if you wish.
 
Firstly check if there are any relevant threads that you can create a new post in. If not, then your original thread doesn't appear to have been posted in recently and if you feel your thread warrants its own new thread, then please feel free to create another one.
