How do I edit Real Media files

Hi

Does anyone know how I can edit a Real Media file. I want to cut the begining and the end of the file off to reduce the size.

Any help would be much appreciated

I don't think you can. Or at least I have not heard of anything that could in the 8 years I have unwillingly been forced to use it.

is there a way to convert it to mpg 4 and then edit it in imovie?

The only way I know of to get an editable format from a real audio file is to use an audio capture program, then edit the captured file. I know of no such solution for real video files though
