How do I edit "widget.html" files in Dreamboard themes?

I have Boxor HD and I'm trying to edit the "widget.html" files to modify the RSS & Twitter feeds.
I've tried editing with notepad and opening via Firefox without any luck.
Can anyone tell me what they use?
BTW - to get/put the files I'm using Cyberduck and OpenSSH if that makes a difference.

i use textwrangler for macs. for windows notepad++
