I assume it's my phone number @something, but have no idea what.

I'm on AT&T.

compose a text message, but send it to your email address. when the email is received, take note of the return address.

Now how do I email an attachment that will show up in text messages?

The forward is coming through, but the MP3 I have attached to it isn't...

if you need to receive an attachment, you want mms. different email address when sending to your phone. to get your phone number mms address, you need to do the same thing, but send an mms to your email address and note the return.

It should be the same address, but it has been my experience that attachments are stripped before sending to the phone.

Yeah, I just tried it and it showed up from the same number/email address.

you can't email it?

Yeah, I suppose I'll have to.

I'm still wondering if there's a way to do this though....
