How do I erase my information on my Mac - I have to ship it back to Apple

hey everybody

i got an imac and transferred all my information onto it. now there is a hardware defect and I have to ship it back to Apple and they are sending me a new imac.

how do i erase all my info off the faulty iMac? I've never done this before and I was wondering what the best way is -- and you guys are the best on here

Boot from Install Disk 1 and do an Erase and Install.
