How do I erase voice memos from phone but keep them on computer?

The damned things keep wanting to sync up!! Basically I want a uni-directional sync, I guess. I want to clear up space on my phone, but I have a LOT of long voice memos (interviews, lessons, concerts, you name it) that I want to keep long-term on my computer. I'll sync phone to iTunes, voice memos go into iTunes, delete memo from phone, memo reappears in phone on next sync. Is there an easy way to do this?

After a memo has already synced to the computer, I will delete it on my phone. Then it reappears in the phone on the next sync, regardless of whether the little box next to it is checked. Super frustrating. Best I can do is add a new "Old Memos" folder and drag everything into it, but then I have to make sure I'm deleting all the same **** on my phone as I dragged out of iTunes...good lord.
