First I tried uploading a video to youtube with pixelpipe, and for some reason the video is tall and thin with black bars on the side. Then on my computer, I try to watch a video in quicktime, and again it is tall and thin! Why is it doing this?! I do not understand a thing about video. Help!

Edit: Here is the horrendous video problem! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Auvzxks0KqU

This second one is a direct upload from the phone- Why is it doing this?http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6iXsZKlyunQ

Hold the phone horizontal when taking the video. Im pretty sure that will fix the problem. I don't think anything can be done about a video thats already shot though.

Thank you very much! I didn't know you had to do that. Is there anything I can do to fix the previous videos? They aren't important, but just in case in the future I take a video in portrait.

Is there really and reason to take video in portrait if it will be done like that every time?

Edit: Is it beneficial to take photos in landscape too?

If you're talking about transferring photos and videos from you phone to computer without compromising quality, you can use iPhoto to import.

How to export pictures/videos to pc

This video was very helpful for me. There are no programs needed. You can do it with a USB cable. Check it out.
