Hey guys,

I've been having trouble exporting my videos into a size that will fit perfectly into youtube. doesn't matter how I set my video on Final Cut Studio, when I export through Compressor, it exports it to a smaller size and I don't use the full capacity of youtube screening...

Can anyone help me? I export to a MPEG-4 format...

Visualhub is discontinued and hard to find. It exist in a new form and under a new name apparently, but I can´t remember what. Sorry.
I´m also curious about the Youtube setting. In the new FC you can export directly to YouTube by the way.

Update:
I went in to the new FC and when exporting to Youtube and hitting the info tab, this is what came up:

Seems like it´s H.264 at 8 Mbps, hope this helps

I tried the settings, exporting from Quicktime, not Compressor and it worked well. I haven´t tried to upload it though.
Just click export, then click options, then use the filter and size buttons to get your settings right.
Under size, use 1280*720 HD if you want HD
Under settings, set the data rate to 8000kbps (8mbps) and you are god to go.
I tried this from an old HDV clip I had and it worked fine

Perhaps you are using a predefined YouTube setting in Compressor. One with an inappropriate size for todays YT playback capability. If so, create a custom one appropriate for your material. YT has specs on their site somewhere.

Check The Youtube Settings

H.264, MPEG-2 or MPEG-4 preferred.

that's it.
that's all they give you.
Oh, and screen sizes.

what I have noticed so far is that .MOV shells that have mp4 encoding dont seem as sharp as .MP4 encoding (with that extension)

encoding with handbrakes "APPLE TV" encode seems great.
using VISUALHUBS .mp4 settings seem good.
