How do I figure out my software version?

I was looking through the apple downloads - firmware section and there's a update in there called MacBook Pro software update 1.1.

I assume that by buying my mbp less than a week ago I would have this software update but how do I check to make sure?

Go into Software Update. If it's there, get it.

Wouldn't worry about it, it is old.

Just run Software Update from the Apple Menu (upper left corner of the menu bar) and it will automatically show you if you need something.

Note to self: get the new MBP when it is available... mine is too slow
