How do I find and turn off the birthday notifications?

I keep getting birthday notifications and I can't figure out where they're coming from. I checked out the Calendar and made sure birthdays is unchecked. I don't see anything in reminders. Facebook? But I don't see it. I thought it would be in Contacts but I can't find anything. They're little notifications that XYZ has a birthday today with a package and a red ribbon. Please help me find this so I can turn it off. It's driving me crazy.

If the birthdays aren’t in Contacts, it’s probably Facebook.

Thanks. I found it. There are TWO boxes to check for birthday and other notifications. One next to the calendar and the other in preferences and a checkbox at the bottom.
