How do I find my External HD?

When I hook my external HD directly up to my MBP, it immediately pops right up on the desktop, but when I plug the external HD into my AEBS, I can't find it anywhere. Does it matter that I'm connected to the AEBS wirelessly?

I believe you can Use the airport utility to configure shared disks.

I can see the HD under Airport Utility, but I can't find it to save something to it, or access a file from it.

It should be in the Network tab, on the side bar of Finder windows.
