How do I find my tracking number early?

Everyone seems to know their tracking number without waiting for the email from Apple. How do I find it?

I ordered a 64 GB black iPhone 5 for ATT service from Apple.com. I placed the order in the first 12 minutes, and Apple says "Delivers 9/21".

Here's what you do. Go to ups.com and click on tracking. Then click on track by reference. Your reference # is either your phone # on apples records or your order # from apple.com minus the last two numbers. Then leave the other stuff empty and put USA and ur zip code.

Thank you both. I got it to work on UPS.com by just trying lots and lots of phone numbers - every phone number associated with the family plan (mine, the primary, the one I usurped for an upgrade), the phone number of the ship-to name, the phone number of the bill-to address. That last one worked, the phone number of the bill-to address.

Bam, got my tracking.
