How do I find out how many photos I have on my iPhone? Going to General => Usage just gives me a size - in my case, around 43 GB of photos. I'd actually like to know how many pictures that is, and a mathematical approximation won't work because the pix were taken with various different resolutions.

Is it so blazingly obvious I can't see the forest for the trees? Or is the quantity hidden away somewhere?

Thanks.

(unless they've changed that in iOS 7. I'm still on iOS 6)

if you open Photos and click on a photo it should say 1 of XXXXXX photos

well, just checked, I need to be in my camera roll album and then it tells you there. and on the album page. all the photos in different albums.

Clicking on a photo only tells you how many pics are in that particular album or photo stream, not how many total pics are on the device, which includes all albums and photo streams.
