Hello, i need urgent help here. I have a backup configured that backs up all files from one external drive to another external drive every day at midnight.

the backup drive is full so i need to alter the config.

Problem i dont know what app is doing the backup. I have tried launching the console to look at the logs but it takes forever to load.

any ideas on how i can find out which app is scheduled to backup?

This is not my imac therefore i cant sit there at midnight and watch it.

Thanks for any genius ideas.

Paul

PS, its not Time Machine and I have looked at all the possible backup apps in Applications to see if they are configured.

It could be Carbon Copy Cloner or Super Duper. Those are two of the most popular backup programs out there for Macs.

Since it's not your Mac, can't you just ask its' owner?

Console should not take long to load. That is your best bet to finding out what is running.
You can always view the logs individually in terminal.
Code:
less /var/log/system.log
