How do I find out where a JPEG file has come from in my Downloads folder

Hey folks, I have noticed two random JPEG files in my downloads folder and I cannot remember what so ever how they got there? I dont recognise the pictures in the slightest, and the possibility of anyone using my mac is pretty minimal so its very intriguing to find out how they got there.

Any ideas on how I can do this?

Generally not possible. If they're in your Downloads folder they probably were downloaded from the internet. Beyond that you can't tell.

There are some instances where, when you click on a link, it downloads a file, rather than opening in a new window or tab. Also, there are some sites that will perform a drive-by download when you visit the site, although that is more rare and usually wouldn't be an image file. I'd just delete it and not worry about it.
