I upgraded my M4 Pro Mac mini from 15.1.1 to 15.2 last Wednesday, three days ago. The first time I launched Image Playground, it said "downloading support for image playground". It no longer says that, but it just doesn't work - any text I give it, or even clicking a default suggestion, says "Unable to use that description." The Person menu doesn't show me anyone I know, and the photo icon in the bottom right corner gives me "Choose Photo..." and "Take Photo..." options but neither option responds when I click on it.

Does anyone know how to get this to work? If someone knows where the support files are, maybe if I delete them it'll download a fresh copy and that'll work?

I understand that this is likely something in your profile that is affecting Image Playground from kicking in correctly. It doesn't work on my profile - but if I set up a new admin account and sign in with my Apple ID then all works as it should. Likely something in Settings/General/Login in items & Extensions affecting it loading correctly?

@Tulipone – I don't know why I didn't think of this. That worked for me to!

In my old user it doesn't seem to matter what language and region I set – Image Playground doesn't work. But in the new user it works fine the US English settings.

Good to know it works with a new user, but that's not a feasible workaround. I hope someone might be able to find out the specific meaningful difference between an existing account that doesn't work and a new account that does.

Why is it not feasible? Actually I have spent quite some time looking at my login items and comparing them to a user profile that works and have decided that whilst it'd have been nice to locate what the blockage was, the time its better spent getting to a known good. It may not be a block in the profile but something outside my knowledge or ability to deal with.

It's not a feasible workaround because I use my Mac for more than Image Playground and I kind of need all the stuff in my existing user account.

And I don't have time to compare user profiles and figure this out on my own.

I am receiving the same errors...but here's the thing: it USED to work. Image Playground has worked before but now all I get is "Unable to use that input."

I'm guessing that Image Playground is not for you then. To be honest it probably isn't work the effort anyway.

I actually disagree with the first statement, going through two user accounts just to generate an image and save it to another user account shouldn’t dictate if a feature is for a person or not. If anything, a feature shouldn’t be dictated by how you access it but by its availability.
