Sounds like a pretty simple (albeit stupid) question, but it's amazing how I can't seem to find a solution. I've tried the Apple website, and it refers me to the operating manual, which was no help. I've searched this forum and couldn't find an answer.

I have a Time Capsule that is supposed to be backing up my computer everyday. Assuming that is working correctly, can I just start deleting files on my hard drive and hope that if I need old files I can retrieve it from the Time Capsule? Would it be that easy?

Thanks for any assistance...

If the files are backed up on another drive, you can delete them and you will be able to retrieve them via Time Machine.
