How do I get a application from a external to mount

I need to install a program, on which is on a NTFS hard drive. Is there anyway that I can do something to the file to make it install without having to format the drive. I also have the original file location on a pc, would I be able to copy that and put it on my Mac external which i formatted to HFS+, as none of the applications on the NTFS drive will mount.
