How do I get an image in my signature in Mail.app?

I did a search and couldn't find an answer...I found the question, but no answer. Is it possible to change the outgoing format to html? If I changed it to html, would I write every email like I was writing an html document with <html> and all that junk? Or does it know that I'm writing in the <body> section?

Would this be compatible with most mail programs? Like would you say 99% of users would be able to view it?
 
I have no idea how to add an image to your sig but I would beg you not to do it. The last thing I want in an associates email is some 'clever' image they think I want or need to see.

It is bad netiquette. :)
