How do I get clips from iMovie 06 to iMovie 08?

I got a 4 year old iMac; I heard iMovie 06 could do slow motion, so I tried it out. It worked great, now I must take that clip and put it on my original iMovie 08. This I could not do.

What I'm asking is can you tell me how to take a events, clips, or projects [whatever you call them from iMovie 06] and put them on iMovie 08?
