How do i get contacts from iTunes?

So i sold my iPhone because im getting a 4S in two weeks, so for now im using a crappy phone. I backed up my iPhone on iTunes then restored it before selling it, so i took the SIM out and put it in my old phone, but i have noticed that some of my contacts are missing Does iTunes save my contacts and can i get them back?
