I just got a superdrive so i now can play dvds. Os x didnt install the dvd player cuz it didnt detect a dvd player. now that ihave one it would be great if i could getthe dvd player software without reinstalling os x.

its not a very good player... it glitches every 10 seconds. can someone tell me how to get the OSX DVD PLAYER

Your search would have turned up this thread, and this one too.

Anyways, the most recommended solution is to use Pacifist to extract the DVD Player application from your OS X install CD.

I have the same problem, perhaps you could help me as well. I purchased Pacifist, but I cannot locate DVD Player on the Panter OSX Install discs. Perhaps it is in a place that I cannot see, like inside another folder. Thanks if you can give me more clues on this one, which I know should be easy but isn't for me. Ruth
