I just found out how to open it though itunes but when i synced my ipod it said it couldn't play the video for some reason. Is it possible to watch my homemade videos on the ipod touch? Thanks

They have to be in .mp4 format. You can get many free converters online and convert them to that format. They will work then. Many converters also offer an iPod Touch/iPhone setting which is the same just made easier for us lazy's.
 
I recommend Handbrake (http://handbrake.fr). It's a free program for both Windows and OS X. Works amazingly well, and handles many different formats, both DVDs and files you already have on your computer (I believe Videora can only convert files that are already on the computer, if you ever want to rip a DVD you'll have to use another program first).
