At the Airport. UK
hi all, i now have a new powerbook and would like to post images onto macrumors, in the gallery pages. i have taken VGA shots of the powerbook, but they are still around 200KB in size. i have not got photoshop or anything installed, so what can be dopne about this?

Most likely the pics are pretty big, so you could use GraphicsConverter to resize the image. It's included with some Macs, and if not you can download a trial.

Edit: Resaving it in a lower quality JPG can shrink the size nicely too.

There's also GIMPshop and The GIMP. They can do that and much more. And they're free too.

There's probably other solutions too, but these are the ones I mostly use (other than using IrfanView on my Windows box).
 
or if it is just for posting purposes, you could host them somewhere and post them that way instead of as attachments.
