How do I get iPhoto to display and image zoomed at 100% (without maually dragging the slider and eyeballing it?)

I searched and found an old archived thread that indicated this isn't possible! Say it aint so...

Right click and choose edit in separate window. You can then adjust the size, orientation, name etc. It works pretty slick that way actually.

That gives me a couple up/down buttons to zoom with instead of the slider, but I see no way to specify that I want it zoomed at 100% (nor do I see an indicator of when I'm viewing at 100%)

I'm assuming I'm overlooking something obvious... any help is appreciated!
