How do I get Music app on macOS Catalina to recognize my local songs. I have several songs on my local (external) SSD. In music app, all these songs show iCloud status as 'uploaded/matched/purchased/apple music'. The first 3 statuses thus are for my local songs.

Yet ALL of them show up with the cloud icon and using Get Info, their location comes as "cloud" rather than the path to my external drive. So now, when I play any of these songs, there is a delay since it is now downloading before playback.

The Music Library.musiclibrary is also on the EXTERNAL drive. How do I get these songs to link back to the local drive at /Volumes/Mac SSD/Users/Ravi/Music/iTunes/iTunes Media

Note this path is set from long time in the music app prefs and it was working fine before with iTunes. I have also tried "consolidate library" with no impact.

I have an active Music subscription too and iCloud music library is also enabled.

Thanks in advance.
