How do I get my 3GS back to OS 3.1.3? 4 is not working for me

I did the same thing. I looked on YouTube and did a search on how to downgrade it. All the thing they suggested didn't work. I found out that currently it isn't possible. iOS 3.1.3 required iPhone to 'call home' and Apple will not approve a downgrade of the iOS. Does that make sense? I think if you wait a while, someone will figure out a work around.
Its not possible to downgrade any 3GS model to previous firmware unless you have SHSH's saved for previous firmware builts.
