How do I get my 9400m to have 512mb vram instead of 256mb?

I’ve been seeing alot of people have 512mb vram 9400m gpus on windows and mines stuck at 256mb, no idea why and I can’t seem to find a way to increase it. I’m using a unibody late 2008 macbook 2GHz if that helps.
