I purchased the $20 software upgrade (and although I was upset at first, I was very happy with the update, and believe it was completely worth $20)

But, then I had to send my iPod in for repair. A new one came with v.1.1.2 so the restore from backup function wouldn't work, so I synced it as a 'new' ipod.

Well, now my apps aren't on this one! I am currently doing a sync of my music library, but when all this is done, how do I get my apps back on my ipod?

For the record: Once I synced a second time, the apps automagically appeared. Problem solved.

I just went through the same sequence and consider I was fortunate to find your resolution before I thought too hard about phoning the Apple number my dealer had given me just in case.

While failing to restore was a bit of a pain, as an old IT guy I'm still amazed how many little details they get right.
