A popup named "Easy Mac Care" repeatedly shows up. I don't know what this is or where it came from. How do I get rid of it.
 
Sounds like Malware. Download, install and run Malwarebytes. Afterwards check your Safari extensions for anything you don't recognize.


Also check for malicious profiles. Basically no one uses them. So, if one is there you did not purposefully create. Get rid of it. If you don't see a profiles option. You have no profiles.

velocity is RIGHT about MalwareBytes.
This is your first step.

BUT ... something important you should know.
You DO NOT have to get the "pay for" version of MalwareBytes.
It will run FOREVER in "free mode".

You just have to manually run it that way.
