I downloaded Utorrent and ended up installing the yahoo spigot and now whenever i open Chrome yahoo search engine hijacks my browser.

I know this problem has been posted before, i have tried removing in extensions, i looked at another video where it said to remove the spigot folder from the library, but my Macbook Pro does not have a library folder.

I use Yosemite OSX, and i can not seem to find this file/folder to get rid of the yahoo spigot.

Can anyone help?

Thanks

but my Macbook Pro does not have a library folder.

That doesn't sound very likely.

Finder, Go menu, while the menu is showing press & hold Option, "Library" should appear in the menu, while it is showing, click it.

Can't help with the Yahoo spigot or whatever but that should show you the Library folder. Have you tried running AdwareMedic (free) from adwaremedic.com? Or ClamXAV from the Mac App Store (also free)?

Thanks very much, i managed to get rid of the troublesome spigot last night and my sanity was spared!
