I bought a new iMac last month and I'm not sure how I get the free Lion upgrade. What do I need to do to get it?

How to upgrade to Lion for free?

I only recently bought a new Macbook Pro - about a month ago, a friend of mine has already upgraded free of charge because he got his laptop also less than a month ago.

How would I go about doing this?

Apple has a section on their website that handles this. Or, you can call customer support.

Make sure you are on the correct regional site for the Apple store, I had lots of fun trying to get my redemption code from the US site when I am in Europe....

Me too! I just changed the URL to .com/uk
